Build your first website in one hour.

You bring a laptop and an idea. You tell Claude what you want in plain English, and it writes the code. By 9:30 you will have made a live website yourself: your idea, on the internet, with its own link you can text to a friend.

The session is 90 minutes: about 30 minutes getting everyone set up and connected, then the hour of building.

I want an app that splits tonight's tips by hours worked.

Then the details, in plain English: I type in the total tips. I add each person and their hours. It shows what each person gets. Keep it on one page and make the numbers big.

An example, drawn for this page. It is not a student's app. In class the blank is yours.

Coding Coach is a live online AI coding class for beginners: 90 minutes, 5 seats, $100, based in Omaha, Nebraska. Claude is made by Anthropic. Coding Coach is an independent class. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Anthropic.

Is this real?

No, you can't learn JavaScript in an hour. You can build a website.

You won't be able to write code from memory after an hour, and nobody can teach that in an evening. What changed is that you no longer have to. Claude writes the code.

Your job is to say clearly what you want, test what you get, and catch what's wrong. That is the part we teach, and it is the part that decides whether the app works.

What this class is not

  • Not a programming-language course.
  • Not job training, and there is no certificate.
  • Not a big app. One job, done well: a tracker, a calculator, a quote builder, a simple game.
  • Not on your own domain yet. Your site goes live in class on a free Cloudflare address. We show you how to connect any domain you own; a domain is bought separately, is not part of the $100, and is not promised live by 9:30.

Coding Coach is an independent class, not affiliated with Anthropic.

The plan

90 minutes: setup first, then the hour.

The session is 90 minutes: about 30 minutes getting everyone set up and connected, then the hour of building. Class starts at 8:00 sharp.

  1. 8:0030 min

Get set up, togetherBefore anyone builds, everyone gets connected: Claude signed in and answering, your empty project folder picked, and the free Cloudflare account you will publish with, created and confirmed by email.
  2. 8:305 min

The deal, and your one sentenceWhat you will have at 9:30, the one rule (small asks), and your idea trimmed to a first version.
  3. 8:3515 min

First buildYou send your first ask. Claude writes the files. You open your app in a browser.
  4. 8:5015 min

Make it yoursThree changes: one to how it looks, one new feature, one fix.
  5. 9:0510 min

Break it and fix itHow to describe a bug, paste an error, and undo a change.
  6. 9:1515 min

Publish it, then show itYou drop your project folder into your Cloudflare account and get a link. It is live. Then 60 seconds each to show it, and the take-home guide.
  7. 9:30

Your website is live, with its own link.

All times Central. The Cloudflare account is on Cloudflare's Free plan; signing up takes an email address and a password (checked October 2026). Coding Coach is an independent class, not affiliated with Anthropic. Cloudflare, Vercel and GitHub are separate companies. Coding Coach is not affiliated with any of them.

Examples, not past student work

What you could build in an hour

Small on purpose. One job, done well, finished tonight.

I want an app that

  • prices a job for my customers.
  • resets the chore chart every Monday.
  • splits tips for the crew.
  • quizzes my kid on spelling words.
  • tracks our league's side bet.
  • is a one-page site for my side business.

Before class

What you need

Three things before class. The rest we set up together in the first 30 minutes. Full setup checklist

  1. 01
A Mac or Windows laptop. Not a Chromebook, tablet or phone. Avoid a locked-down work laptop.
  2. 02
Claude Pro, $20/month.Paid to Anthropic, not to us. Cancel any time. The free plan won't work for this class.
  3. 03
One sentence."I want an app that ___." Bring it.

Set up in class, together

  • The Claude desktop app, signed in and answering.
  • An empty folder for your app.
  • A free Cloudflare account, confirmed by email. It is where your website goes live. No terminal.

Total to try this: $100 for the class plus $20 for a month of Claude Pro. The Cloudflare account is on its Free plan. Prices checked October 2026. Coding Coach is an independent class. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Anthropic. Cloudflare, Vercel and GitHub are separate companies. Coding Coach is not affiliated with any of them.

Seats per class

Why five seats

Five is the number where everyone gets looked at. You will share your screen. When you get stuck, the coach sees it and fixes it with you. A recording can't do that and neither can a class of forty.

The guarantee

A live website with its own link, or your $100 back.

Can't make it? Full refund up to 24 hours before class. After that, you can move your seat once to a later class, if one is scheduled.

FAQ

Fair questions

Do I need any coding experience?

No. If you can install an app and write a clear text message, you can do this.

Why 90 minutes if the app takes an hour?

The session is 90 minutes: about 30 minutes getting everyone set up and connected, then the hour of building. Setup is where a class like this usually loses people, so it is on the clock and we do it with you.

What does it cost in total?

$100 for the class. Claude Pro is $20/month, paid to Anthropic, and you can cancel after class. The Cloudflare account we set up in class is on Cloudflare's Free plan. Coding Coach is not affiliated with Anthropic or Cloudflare.

Do I need a Cloudflare, Vercel or GitHub account before class?

No. We create a free Cloudflare account together in the first 30 minutes; signing up takes an email address and a password, and Cloudflare emails you to confirm the address, so have your inbox open. It is the account your website is published from at the end of class. Vercel is an optional alternative you can look at afterward (its free Hobby plan is for personal, non-commercial projects only). GitHub is not needed for class. Coding Coach is not affiliated with any of them.

Will the free version of Claude work?

No. The tool we use is included in paid plans only. Claude Pro at $20/month is enough.

Mac or Windows?

Either. Not a Chromebook, tablet or phone. Avoid a locked-down work laptop.

What if I can't get set up?

Open the setup checklist as soon as you book. Email us if a step fails. The first 30 minutes of class are setup, done together, so nobody starts the build behind.

What time is that where I am?

It starts at 8:00 PM Central, 7:00 PM Mountain, 9:00 PM Eastern, 6:00 PM Pacific, and runs 90 minutes.

How do I join the class?

The class runs live on a video call. The class link is emailed to you before class. It goes to the address you signed up with.

Which dates can I pick?

Classes are on Mondays, and each week is the same class. The schedule on this page shows every date and how many seats are open on each.

What if I can't make it?

Full refund up to 24 hours before class. After that, you can move your seat once to a later class, if one is scheduled.

Will my website really be live by the end?

Yes. That is the promise. In the last block you drop your project folder into your Cloudflare account and it gives you a link. The link works on any phone or computer, and the address is free (it ends in pages.dev).

Can I put it on my own domain?

Yes. In class your site goes live on a free Cloudflare address, and that is what we promise by 9:30. If you own a domain, we show you how to connect it, and you can do it after class. The steps are short, but a newly connected domain can take up to a day to start working, so we don't promise it during class. A domain is bought separately from a domain seller and is not part of the $100.

Who can see my website?

Anyone who has the link. It is a public web address, so build with made-up data and leave out anything private.

Can I build a phone app?

In class you make a website, which opens in any phone browser from its link. App-store apps are a longer road.

Will I be able to get a job from this?

No. This is for building your own ideas, not for a career change.

Who are you? Are you part of Anthropic?

No. Coding Coach is an independent class based in Omaha, Nebraska, taught live online. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Anthropic.

How do I reserve a seat?

Pick a Monday on the schedule and sign the sheet: first name and email. That holds a seat.

How do I pay?

You pay $100 by Venmo. After you sign the sheet we email you the Venmo details. Nothing is charged on this site.

Can my team book the whole class?

Yes. Email us and we'll set up a private class for up to five people.

Open to anyone in Omaha, Kansas City, Des Moines, Denver or anywhere else with a laptop and an evening.

Monday at 8. 90 minutes. Your live site.
